Welcome to the heart of the Baltimore Renaissance! Art & Activism is a gathering space where creativity, culture, and community responsibility intersect every First Friday of the month. Rooted in the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance with revolutionary flavor, this experience channels that same energy of music-filled rooms, bold ideas, shared joy, and collective vision reimagined for West Baltimore today.
Music, visual expression, performance, and conversation come together to explore the ongoing struggle for self-determination and Black community control over our basic needs: education, nutrition, protection, healthcare, and finance. These nights are designed to feel alive: part club, part cultural salon, part organizing ground, where ideas move freely and creativity flows ever so spiritually.
